Maja Bar of Soap
Maja soap cleanses the skin, providing a pleasant sensation and aroma. Many Spaniards will remember this soap's scent from their childhood, or if they haven't smelt it before, they will have seen the iconic packaging being displayed by many shop windows and shop counters in Spain. This product softens and smooths the skin. It is perfect to use everyday. The scent is long-lasting and leaves your hands and body feeling refreshed.
As it was created in the very late 19th century, Maja's packaging was inspired by the Art Nouveau image of the iconic dancer Tórtola Valencia, from Seville, who typically danced barefoot. Her dances and choreography attracted the attention of many people worldwide.
The soap can be used by anyone who wants to smell like fresh roses, carnations and geraniums! The soap is made by mixing these three essential oils with a luxurious and silky olive oil to create the soap bar. The combination of roses, carnations and geraniums mixed with olive oil, creates a truly Spanish scent.
Maja began its soap and perfume making journey in Barcelona at the start of the 1900s. We fell in love with their story, their Spanish tradition and the essence of the company. Maja was bought by a Mexican company a few years ago, meaning it is no longer made in Spain, which is the case for a very small amount of our products, however we decided to keep the Maja products in our catalogue.
