Chandelier with White Molding

The base of this molded candlestick is yellow clay, which has the unique characteristic of turning red when fired. Once it has reached the appropriate hardness, it is removed from the kiln, glazed, and fired again. The result is a shiny, crackled finish with some imperfections typical of the artisan process.

They are made on the wheel by José Antonio, a potter from a small town in Huelva who has been perfecting his craft for 35 years, no less than since he was 12.
