There is nothing like tasting a good coffee and if it is from Cafés Pozo even better. It's not just us who say it, it's also said by the twenty-six judges of the International Coffee Tasting 2012 – the most important blind tasting in the world – who have crowned this Spanish company with 3 'Medaglia d'Oro', the Oscars of coffee.
This in particular is a soft and aromatic coffee due to the presence of high altitude Arabica coffees (Colombia and Nicaragua) that give it floral aromas. With little caffeine content, around 1.2%, one of the lowest on the market. Perfect to take alone.
In 1932, Antonino del Pozo, a Madrid native from Horcajo de la Sierra, opened the first coffee shop on Magdalena Street, which at that time was not only the geographical center but also the social and financial center of Madrid. In that store the first kilos of coffee were sold to the housewife and from there they began to serve the hospitality establishments in the center of Madrid, always with a constant commitment: quality. In the 80s Cafés Pozo had up to 32 stores, becoming an undisputed benchmark in the coffee market in Madrid.
