Siurells Nativity Tree

Typical of Mallorcan craftsmanship, these siurells nativity scenes are handcrafted from clay by women, who then bathe them in lime and paint them with colorful stripes.

They are made in Marratxí, in the heart of the Terra del Fang , an area where most potters moved due to the quality of the local soil. There, our artisans have been shaping siurells for over 100 years, following the tradition passed down from grandmothers to mothers and finally to daughters.
