Originating in the 13th century in the rural areas of La Rioja, Catalonia, and the Basque Country, the espadrille was the footwear of choice for peasants and artisans for centuries. In the 20th century, its simplicity and comfort captivated artists and designers, who reinvented it as a fashion staple.
Ours are produced in Logroño, with a natural jute sole on a rubber base and a herringbone canvas upper.
*Espadrilles stretch with wear, but we still recommend ordering a size up.
