Pear-shaped oil cruets are among the most iconic pieces of pottery from Úbeda. Handcrafted from traditional red clay, each piece is coated with a layer of white clay slip before being decorated. In the blue versions, the distinctive color is achieved using oxides and glazes that develop their characteristic finish during the firing process.
Each oil cruet is entirely handmade by a potter from a family of artisans whose tradition dates back to 1846, preserving the techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation.

To preserve your ceramic pieces, hand washing is recommended. If using a dishwasher, use high-quality detergent in the appropriate amount; otherwise, the pieces may lose their original shine.
