Sometimes we want to take a long trip and we look for exotic, faraway destinations to experience an adventure. It's easy to forget that our own country holds wonders we probably don't know about, and perhaps we don't even know they exist.
This book can serve as a travel guide, even though it isn't a guidebook per se. The author immerses us in each of the places he describes, transporting us there through anecdotes and stories. In his own words:

That's why I've tried to make my list as balanced as possible, including the essential places in Spain for fans of art, landscapes, museums, gastronomy, unusual or mysterious places, history, exoticism, festivals, archaeology... This book is, therefore, a mixed bag of interesting places in which I've tried to include the varied tastes of the Spanish people.
