The Mauri candy factory began producing artisanal candies back in 1903 until well into the 1960s, when these well-known candies passed into the hands of Lacasa, which continued producing them until 2014. After a few years of disappearance, today they are produced in the Gerio company, founded by a group of pastry chefs from Girona after the Civil War, where they began producing nougat, candies and candied fruit.
