The vaseline was created in 1870 but it was not until the beginning of the 20th century when Salvador Echeandía Gal commercialised his perfumed vaseline resulting in one of the best-selling products in history thanks to its wonderful, nourishing effect on dry lips and eyelashes.
After starting his own drugstore in Arenal Street of Madrid, GAL began to settle in the soap and perfume industry in Spain.
