Rioja Sierra Cantabria Crianza Wine 2018
Price
9,90€
Sierra Cantabria Crianza is a red wine from the D.O. of La Rioja produced by the Sierra Cantabria wineries. It is made using only the Tempranillo grape variety. It rests in Bordeaux barrels made of French and American oak for approximately 14 months.
It is an intense, tasty and expressive red wine. This vintage further enhances the fruity tones, as well as the wood tones, that the wine gets from the ageing process.
The Eguren family has a long history of winemaking, and has been dedicated to the industry since 1870, but in recent years, it has changed hands to Miguel and Marcos Eguren managing the family business, a new and very important role that is significant in the elite of Spanish vine growing. Not only is it for the excellent trajectory of Sierra Cantabria, the oldest winery in the family (which has been making wines in Rioja under this name since 1957), but also for the promotion of its many other projects: the Señorío de San Vicente (founded in 1991 with an almost extinct grape, the hairy Tempranillo); Viñedos de Páganos (with an underground winery close to the La Rioja town of Laguardia) and Teso La Monja, which represents this family's commitment to D.O. Toro, after having sold the first winery in this area, Numanthia-Termes, to the Moët Hennessy group.
