This weekend has been one of those that reconciles you with the world. We're returning from Agolada, a small Galician village that every summer is filled with music, crafts, flavors, and beautiful people. There, among medieval pendellos—those stone buildings that seem straight out of another time—one of the most special craft fairs I've ever experienced is being held.
I had to tell you about it here. Because if you like things done slowly, if you're moved by loving hands, and if you dream of a more authentic life... Agolada awaits you.
Ceramics that speak Galician
One of the most beautiful moments was meeting Nano Unzueta , our most rock-and-roll Galician potter. His pieces, which you're already familiar with if you've been to the shop, still have that special something that captivates. Watching him work there, surrounded by clay and curious people, was like going back to the origins of it all.
Galician straw hats and bags
We also saw lots of wicker, esparto grass, and plant fibers. Among them were the white wicker bottles and vases you love so much. They're made by a young Galician basket maker with whom we previously collaborated at Real Fábrica. Beautiful pieces that combine tradition with a fresh, natural feel.

Gastronomy to repeat three times
We stayed at A Parada das Bestas, a charming rural house nestled among meadows and wooden cabins. Delicious breakfasts, garden produce, and even a small pool, as it was warm this year. At the fair, empanadas, octopus, and good bread… Galicia has a taste of the countryside, of slow cooking and long after-dinner conversation.

Treasures among the stalls
Walking through the stalls, we once again spotted some of our most beloved products: Celso cutlery , hand-forged in Fonsagrada with that Galician strength we so admire. And Sanandresiños, which you know we have at Real Fábrica because we love their naive shapes and their very own meaning.

Agolada and its culture
And of course, music couldn't be missing. Bagpipes everywhere, traditional dances, sunset concerts... The fair isn't just about crafts: it's about joy, community, and celebration. And as you let yourself go, you'll discover everything this land has to offer.

Conclusion
If you can, save the date for next year. Agolada isn't just a fair: it's an experience that involves all five senses. And if you can't make it, that's okay. At Real Fábrica, we're already preparing a selection of the best of Galicia, so you can have a little piece of this magical land at home.
As I said: stay close, I'll tell you everything soon.
