There are summers you won't forget. Not for their travels or their photos, but for their rhythm: slow, calm, with long naps and endless snacks. Village summers smell different. They smell of laundry hanging in the sun, wet earth, fresh cologne, and warm bread. And at Real Fábrica, every summer we return to them with products that, in one way or another, take us back to that place where everything was simpler.
When I think about those childhood summers, I think of the most absolute freedom: leaving home after breakfast and not returning until lunchtime, with a dirty face, dusty legs, and a growling stomach. The bike was our passport, and the group of cousins or friends you only saw in the summer was your chosen family. No one asked where you were; all that mattered was that you were back when the clock struck lunch.

We wandered along paths, made huts in the bushes, spent the afternoons trading cards or playing Parcheesi under the vine. Some hid in the hayloft to avoid mass, others sneaked into the fountain to fish for tadpoles. Time was different. More generous, more ours. We didn't know we were experiencing something unrepeatable. Only now, looking back, do we understand its value.
That real calm, that total carefreeness, is exactly what many of us are looking for today. And although we can't go back to being children or to that exact summer, we can surround ourselves with things that remind us of it. That bring us back to that place, even if only for a little while.

Here are ten products that bring summer back to the village, with all its smell, texture, and memory.
1. Colonia Palmaria: the Mediterranean breeze
Fresh, floral, and with a hint of saltiness reminiscent of evening strolls along dusty roads. Our Palmaria cologne comes from Mallorca and encapsulates in its fragrance all the freshness of the sea and the island's flowers.
2. Traditional soaps: open house smell
As soon as you open them, you suddenly find yourself in Grandma's bathroom. Lavender, fig, and orange blossom soaps... they perfume the drawers and magically bring us back to those summers when everything smelled clean and natural.
3. Fig and lavender candles: the scented nap
Because there's no summer without a siesta, and ours smell like the countryside. Vila Hermanos candles are made with plant-based waxes and essential oils that transform any corner into a haven of calm.
4. Handmade sandals: stepping on the earth
Whether they're Ibizan or abarcas , our sandals made in Spain are designed to last and to accompany all those slow steps between the plaza, the fountain, and the siesta.
5. Cotton towels: hanging in the sun
Large, soft, real towels . The ones you hang out in the sun after the river, or your first dip in the town pool. Made with 100% cotton, to embrace your body with care.
6. Butter cookies: snack with a cloth napkin
Those from Espinosa de los Monteros , which every time we open a box, bring us the echo of the snacks in the gallery, with the grandmother taking out a tray and saying "just one, eh?"

7. Fajalauza Ceramics: gazpacho with a spoon
Plates, platters, and bowls made from traditional Granada ceramics . For serving gazpacho, potato salad, or that potato omelet always waiting under a checkered cloth.
8. Mallorcan blown glass: fresh water on the table
Pitchers, glasses, and bottles handmade from recycled glass. A breath of tradition in every sip, with just the right touch of color reminiscent of Mediterranean homes.
9. Handcrafted animal heads: wall donkeys
Because many of us grew up riding on donkeys. And having a handmade donkey, cow, or horse head made from natural fibers at home today is like paying homage to those summers when rides were slow and dusty.
10. Orange blossom water: bottled calm
Its aroma has something of prayer and celebration, of old-fashioned cooking and a shared secret. Luca de Tena's orange blossom water isn't just for roscón: it's also an emotional perfume, a reminder that summer can also smell of peace.
