The well-known "Maragato Blankets of the Valley" have been made of pure virgin wool since time immemorial, with artisanal and traditional manufacturing.

Textile craftsmanship in Val de San Lorenzo, León, has a long tradition. In the mid-18th century, the town boasted eighty-one cloth manufacturers. Records from the 17th century show merchants coming to Val to buy cloth, and without a doubt, the blankets and throws created by the Maragato artisans in this village were the most prestigious among all of society at the time. The main characteristic of these fabrics is the impressive insulation provided by the sheep's wool. A traditional process of obtaining and carding the wool creates thousands of natural "air chambers" that insulate against the cold.

The fact that the colors are obtained from natural dyes makes the blankets of Val even more distinctive, as well as the Maragato legend "Long live my owner" with which the merchants traveled in their carts, traveling through Spain, keeping warm with the blankets of Val de San Lorenzo.

The wool is 100% pure sheep wool, and the manufacturing processes result in a lightweight fabric that retains heat while being perfectly breathable.
