The Gordiola family has been making these unique blown glass pieces by hand since the 18th century in a small town in Mallorca, where each piece takes 6 weeks to produce. It is a miracle of our industrial history that this factory is still alive after so many years, where it has lasted for almost three centuries through different generations.

Each piece is unique, so no one is identical to the other. Any bubbles, irregularities or asymmetry are characteristics of hand-blown glass and give these works their particular charm.

The well-known "Mantas Maragatas del Val" since time immemorial are blankets made of Pure Virgin Wool, with artisanal and traditional manufacture.

Textile crafts in Val de San Lorenzo in León has a long tradition. In the middle of the 18th century there were eighty-one cloth manufacturers in the town. Since the 17th century we have documentation about merchants who came to buy cloth in the Val, and without a doubt the blankets and covers created by the Maragato artisans in this town were the most prestigious among the entire society of the time. The main characteristic of these fabrics is the impressive degree of insulation of the sheep's wool (the only "hollow" fiber that exists), through a traditional process of obtaining and carding, thousands of natural "air chambers" are achieved to insulate the cold.

Obtaining the colors, also based on natural dyes, makes the Val blankets even more characteristic, as well as the Maragata legend "Long live my owner" with which the merchants traveled in their carts, touring Spain, sheltering themselves with the blankets of the Val. Val de San Lorenzo.

The wool is 100% pure sheep, and the manufacturing processes create a light fabric that retains heat, while being perfectly breathable.

How many good stews and appetizers have filled these dishes that formed the trousseau of your house. This product is not produced in Spain. At Real Fábrica we have a total of 1,700 references, 20 of which are not produced in our country but we have decided to include them in the store for some specific reason. In this case of the Ibili company, we have been collaborating with them for years. They have been working with great professionalism for decades in the north of Spain, and even though they have decided to outsource the production of these products outside our borders, they continue to provide employment and generate wealth in our country. For this reason, and because the pewter products in this range are a wonderful tribute to our grandmothers and because we grew up with them, we have decided to make an exception and keep them in our catalog. At this moment we are working with a Spanish factory to try to return the manufacturing of these products to our country. It's a complicated technology, but we hope to achieve it soon.
