El Pozo Ground Coffee
This coffee is pleasant and aromatic, it's a mixture of toasted Colombian and Nicaraguan ground coffee beans which give the blend a lovely floral touch. It's quite light on the caffeine side, about 1.2%, one of the lowest available on the market, so it's perfect to drink by itself.
After just one sip of this coffee, you will never want to try any others! This coffee has received the "Medaglia d'Oro" prize, the equivalent of the Oscar's for coffee, several times in the International Coffee Tasting contest.
In 1932, Antonino del Pozo, from Horcajo de la Sierra, Madrid, opened his first coffee shop in Magdalena Street, in the centre of Madrid. Back then, this area was the social and financial hub of the city. He sold his first kilos of coffee beans both to housewives and other cafés across the city, always offering great quality products. In the 1980s there were 32 El Pozo Coffee shops, making the company unarguably one of the most influential and popular coffee companies in Madrid.
